I've been tattooing over 10 years & am the state representative for
The Alliance of Professional Tattooists.
Yes, I
love my job!
It allows me to express my creative side through art and I get to talk with my clients and try to put together
the design that they have in their heads.
Challenging but fun too!
I have a soft spot for memorial tattoos &
even though sometimes the stories behind them can be depressing, I am glad to be able to help myclients get a piece that they
can be proud of for their loved ones.
Tips for Memorial Tattoos:
No it doesn't have to be a cross, angel or tombstone.
Incorporate
things that they liked (i.e. fishing, bingo, tools, cooking, ect.)For instance if your grandma taught you to
bake, her piece could be cupcakes or a pie!
Use their birthstone colors in the piece.
Use a saying that they used to tell you.
Keep in mind that if you put it where people can see it
they are going to ask about it.
If you are going to use birth and death dates you must KNOW them! Don't
wait until you're at the shop and try to phone someone who knows, be prepared.
